This ergonomic pottery throwing rib tool is 3D-printed from biodegradable PLA and manufactured to order at the Icewood Atelier studio in Finland.

 

The tool features a lightweight yet durable structure, a comfortable grip curve, and two circular cut-outs for improved handling and control during wheel-throwing. The rib edge is designed for smoothing, compressing, and refining clay surfaces, shaping forms, and working both concave and convex profiles. The design prioritizes precision and steady support for everyday ceramic workflows.
