This underglaze paper features a charming forest‑inspired illustration filled with animals, trees, leaves and small decorative details. The design transfers beautifully onto clay, creating a lively and whimsical surface pattern perfect for mugs, plates, tiles, ornaments and other ceramic pieces.
Each sheet can be cut into smaller motifs or used as a full pattern. The designs transfer cleanly onto leather‑hard clay with minimal effort, making it easy to achieve professional, hand‑painted‑looking results in minutes.

Underglaze Transfer Paper – Instructions
Suitable for:
- Bisque-fired ware (800–1000 °C)
- Dry greenware (fully dried, unfired clay)
Method 1 – Bisque-fired ware
- Form the piece
- Bisque fire to 800–1000 °C
- Clean the surface
- Lightly dampen
- Apply the transfer
- Smooth with a damp sponge or rib to remove air bubbles
- Carefully remove backing paper
- Allow to dry completely
- Apply clear glaze
- Glaze fire at 1180–1300 °C (Cone 5–9)
Method 2 – Dry Greenware
- Form the piece
- Dry completely
- Apply the transfer
- Smooth
- Remove backing paper
- Let dry
- Carefully glaze
- Glaze fire at 1180–1300 °C
Firing & Color Stability
- Black and blue are stable within Cone 5–9
- No fading occurs (protected under glaze)
- Color shift may result from glaze fluidity at high temperature
- Burning depends on individual firing conditions
Glaze Compatibility
Compatible with most medium to high temperature clear glazes (1180–1300 °C).
Best results:
- Low to medium fluidity glazes
- Results may vary depending on:
- Clay body whiteness
- Glaze thickness
- Glaze hardness
- Glaze flow
