Green Chrome Oxide – Ceramic Colorant Powder 100 g

Green chrome oxide (chromium(III) oxide, Cr₂O₃) is a strong ceramic colorant for dense, opaque greens. A small amount goes a long way – typically just a few percent in a glaze. Use it to colour glazes, slips/engobes and clay bodies.

Good to know: Zinc in the base glaze can turn chrome greens brownish, and chrome combined with tin can give pinks – also on neighbouring tin-glazed pieces in the same kiln load. Always test-fire before using on finished work.

Handling: Avoid breathing the dust and use a dust mask when handling the dry powder. Not for food use. Keep closed and out of reach of children.
