The listed dimensions are the size of the tool, i.e. the wet clay. Clay shrinks during drying and firing, usually around 5–15%, and the final size of your piece always depends on your own clay and firing temperature. For example, with a 10 cm size and 12% shrinkage, the finished piece would be about 8.8 cm. Please check your clay's shrinkage before ordering and choose the size accordingly.

Create elegant heron shapes with this Heron cutter. The graceful silhouette – long neck, slender beak and smooth body – and the thin cutting edge give neat, repeatable results for tiles, reliefs, wall decorations, ornaments and jewelry pieces.
The cutter is 3D-printed from durable PLA with a smooth finish for easy alignment and cleaning. Choose your preferred size from the options; measurements are shown next to the selection.
Intended for clay, ceramics and polymer clay; not food-safe. Minor 3D-printing marks may occur between batches.
Designed and made in Finland by Icewood Atelier, Laukaa.
Tip: cut on leather-hard or soft clay; if sticking occurs, dust lightly with cornstarch or use a thin film as a release. Press gently at the beak and neck so the narrow details come out cleanly.
