High-Fire Botz Stoneware 9892 Salamander (200 ml)

BOTZ 9892 Salamander — a satin-glossy black stoneware glaze with mustard-yellow speckles arranged in rings. Named after the spotted salamander: a dramatic black base that breaks into fine golden-orange precipitations. At 1280°C it turns silk-matte black with orange-brown speckles and soft running where applied thicker.

Key Features:

• 1250°C: Salamander effect with 3 coats — black with mustard-yellow ring speckles
• 1280°C: Silk-matte black with orange-brown precipitations — apply only 2 coats
• Note: Tends to run where applied thickly; keep the base area thinner and use a kiln shelf protector
• Application: Ready to use, 3 coats at 1250°C, 2 coats at 1280°C
• Firing: 1220–1280°C, 30 min soak, most beautiful from 1250°C
