Low-Fire Terra Bella Rustic Brown (550) Glaze (118 ml)

Terra Bella Rustic Brown (550) is a special effect layer from Colorobbia's Terra Bella reactive glaze range. Applied over or under other Terra Bella glazes, it creates a rusty, weathered look with earthy brown tones and natural surface variation – ideal for an aged, antique finish on low-fire work.

Rustic Brown is made to be combined with other Terra Bella glazes rather than used on its own. Apply one coat only for the best rust effect, and test first when combining it with other reactive colors. Our test piece pairs Rustic Brown with Mystic White (553), fired at 1000 °C.

Stir well before use and apply on bisque ware. Firing temperature 950–1000 °C.

Food-contact safety:

Rustic Brown is an effect layer and is not intended as a standalone food-contact glaze. For food-contact surfaces, use it together with a clear, food-safe Terra Bella glaze such as Mystic White (553).

Colorobbia ART products do not contain toxic materials or lead and are therefore suitable for the production of tableware.

However, the glazes are subject to a further processing/firing stage by the customer, over which we have no control. The final characteristics of the glazed item may therefore depend on the application, firing conditions and the combination of products used.

For this reason, the food-contact compliance of the finished item can only be assessed and certified by the customer on the final product, under the actual application and firing conditions.

Therefore, we recommend that the customer carries out the appropriate tests on the finished article, particularly for the intended food-contact use.
