The listed dimensions are the size of the tool, i.e. the wet clay. Clay shrinks during drying and firing, usually around 5–15%, and the final size of your piece always depends on your own clay and firing temperature. For example, with a 10 cm size and 12% shrinkage, the finished piece would be about 8.8 cm. Please check your clay's shrinkage before ordering and choose the size accordingly.

A long, single-piece border cutter with twelve small, rounded scallops along one edge. Press it into a rolled-out slab to cut a clean strip with a neat, lace-like scalloped edge in one motion – perfect for decorative rims on cups, mugs, bowls and plates, as well as delicate borders and trims on tiles, boxes and ornaments.

How to use: roll out your clay evenly, press the cutter straight down and lift away the excess. Score and slip the back of the strip and attach it while the clay is soft or leather-hard – the strip bends easily to follow the curve of a cup or bowl.
Tip: If the clay sticks, dust lightly with cornstarch or place a thin plastic film over the clay before cutting.
