A size 16 wooden sock block (sock stretcher) laser-cut from untreated 3 mm Finnish birch plywood. Includes a practical hanging hook. Sold individually. Made to order in Finland.

This sock block is a tool for stretching and shaping knitted socks during finishing. It helps lace, cable knit, and colorwork socks dry into their intended form, improving stitch definition and overall appearance. The block is laser-cut from untreated 3 mm Finnish birch plywood, a lightweight yet durable material with a smooth, stable structure.

Each sock block includes a practical hanging hook, allowing socks to air-dry while suspended, which supports even drying and shape retention. Sock finishing is recommended one sock at a time, and the blocks are sold individually—one ordered item equals one sock block. If you want to stretch a pair simultaneously, two blocks should be ordered.

How to finish socks using a sock block:
Wet the finished knitted sock according to its care instructions. Gently press out excess water without twisting. If needed, pre-dry by rolling the sock inside a towel to remove additional moisture. Then place the damp sock onto the block and hang it to dry using the hook. Let the sock dry fully before removing it.
