The listed dimensions are the size of the tool, i.e. the wet clay. Clay shrinks during drying and firing, usually around 5–15%, and the final size of your piece always depends on your own clay and firing temperature. For example, with a 10 cm size and 12% shrinkage, the finished piece would be about 8.8 cm. Please check your clay's shrinkage before ordering and choose the size accordingly.

🎄 Bring a classic Nordic Christmas tradition to your clay work. This cutter and stamp cuts out a heart and leaves the traditional woven heart pattern on the clay, the same design as the paper heart baskets hung on Finnish and Scandinavian Christmas trees. It is perfect for ornaments, gift tags, wall hangings, tiles and other seasonal ceramic projects.
Roll out an even clay slab, press the tool straight down with firm, even pressure, then lift it and gently release the piece. Slightly firm (not sticky) clay and a light dusting of cornstarch give the cleanest, crispest pattern.
Available in six sizes: 25, 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150 mm (approximate). The smallest sizes suit tags and small tree ornaments, while the larger ones are ideal for statement ornaments, wall pieces and tiles. Each tool is 3D-printed from PLA, a biodegradable plant-based plastic, at Icewood Atelier's workshop in Finland and made to order.
