Oxides & Ceramic Colorants

Metal oxides are the raw colorants behind most ceramic glaze colours. Use them to tint your own glazes, slips/engobes and clay bodies, or brush them on bisque as an oxide wash to bring out textures and pattern-roller impressions.


Our oxides are repacked in Finland into 100 g screw-top jars – a practical size for testing and small studio batches. Always test-fire before using a new colorant on finished work.
