How to Use & Tips

This foot ring tool allows you to create a raised foot for your pottery items.

• Sizing: The size shown for each option (e.g. 35mm) is the approximate diameter of the foot ring the tool presses into the clay — not the tool's own outer dimensions. Actual results can vary slightly depending on clay softness and pressure used.
• Traditional Raised Foot Ring: Press down the tool on a FLAT bottomed mold to leave a beautifully defined, traditional raised foot ring. This is ideal bowls and cups.
• Use cornstarch, plastic wrap or very thin cloth between the clay and the tool to prevent sticking.
• Clay Thickness: The clay must be thick enough to take a clear, deep impression without making the bottom of your piece too thin.
  
• Material: Durable, high-quality PLA (3D-printed).
