BOTZ 9878 Clear Craquelé — a glossy, transparent stoneware glaze with a coarse crackle network. The classic crackle look for vases and decorative pieces. The cracks often keep developing after the kiln has cooled — the full crackle net appears within about a week. Then tint the lines for contrast, for example with Botz 9090 Ceramic Ink, strong black tea or Indian ink.
Key Features:
- Finish: Glossy, transparent, coarse crackle pattern
- Crackle: Fully developed after about a week — tint only after that
- Use: Best for decorative ceramics (the crackle surface isn't recommended for tableware)
- Application: Ready to use, 3 coats (absorbs slowly into bisque); won't run
- Firing: 1220–1280°C, 30 min soak
- Volume: 200 ml — Ships from Finland, with fast delivery across Finland and the rest of the EU/Nordics.
