Wide-Range BOTZ PLUS 9020 Effect Glaze (200 ml)

BOTZ PLUS 9020 — an effect booster that layers over BOTZ glazes for extra depth, movement and brilliance. Brush it unevenly over an unfired stoneware glaze and fire at 1250°C to bring out variegated, glossy effects (see the Rose Rock and Concrete Grey test tiles). It also works on its own: pure on stoneware clay at 1250°C it gives a glossy, bluish crystalline glaze, and at 1050°C a true crackle glaze with a satin surface — tint the cracks with ink afterwards. PLUS also boosts effects on earthenware glazes.

Key Features:

• Use: Top layer over unfired BOTZ stoneware or earthenware glazes, or on its own over clay
• Pure at 1250°C: Glossy, bluish crystalline glaze
• Pure at 1050°C: Satin crackle glaze — tint cracks e.g. with Botz 9090 Ceramic Ink
• Caution: Runs strongly — apply sparingly, keep away from the base and protect your kiln shelf
• Firing: 1020–1280°C (stoneware effects at 1250°C, 30 min soak)
